Export files and folders from SharePoint Online into SharePoint On-Premises

Please note: Open with Explorer does not work with Edge, Chrome, FireFox and Internet Explorer 64-bit version. Cause they have not ActiveX Technology.

Case:
Your customers or perhaps you, want to be export all of your data from SharePoint Online to SharePoint On-Premises. Why they want to move their data from cloud to own server? Good question!
The answer is, some customers worry about their data and they don’t know where all of data saved. It is safe? How many risk? and so many questions. Ok, that is typically customers.
Is it possible to move all of their data from SharePoint Online into SharePoint On-Premises?
Absolutely yes, see below!

Solutions:
Preparation
Make sure this below add-ons already installed and enabled in your Internet Explorer:

Then, WebClient service must be Started or Running, check under Status to make sure it.

Take action
Open your SharePoint Online https://yourdomain.sharepoint.com/SitePages/Home.aspx with your IE browser

Then, choose your “Document Library” where you store all of your data. If you don’t see in left pane, you can choose gear icon in top right > site contents. All of your document list and library collected in Site Contents

By default, you’re using Modern Site template and if you’re not comfy with that, you can revert to classic with clicking link “Return with classic SharePoint” in bottom left.

Modern Site: Click All Documents view drop-down > click View in File Explorer

Classic Site: In ribbon group Connect & Export > click Open with Explorer

Less than one minute, the new window explorer will be show up and you can copy all of your data into local drive or external drive

After that, plug-in your external drive to server for upload all of your data into SharePoint On-Premises.
